CampsBotBrain Educational Robots has been running camps for years. We've found that camps are an excellent way to teach STEM topics; the longer daily sessions allow in-depth examination of topics and allow for projects that don't work in the time restrictions of a classroom. Elementary STEM-Robots CampUses our new elementary level curriculum. Designed to teach basic concepts in Science, Technology, Math and Engineering to kids in grades 3 through 5. Includes lessons on "Scientific Method", "Engineering Design Process", Science, Technology and Society, and (of course) Robotics. Has has been taught at South Middleton Parks and Rec., The Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts, and the Lincoln Intermediate Unit's Summer Academy . Suggested Items for this camp: All BotBrain Equipment needed for a camp is available for lease. Contact us for details. Middle School CampsWe have taught several Middle School Camps over the years. Intro to Robotics uses the High School curriculum to teach BASIC programming and the students compete in several challenges. RPV (Remotely Piloted Vehicles) Camp. - students build and pilot robots to perform "bomb disposal" and "planetary exploration" STEM & Service Robots New this year, it camp is a set of STEM topic lessons. It culminates in a new competition, which features a mock up of a house containing candy 'treasure'. One team creates a surveillance robot to detect and disable the other team's thief robot. Winners get to keep the candy... Suggested Items for this camp: All BotBrain Equipment needed for a camp is available for lease. Contact us for details. Saturday or Holiday CampsCamps aren't just for summer. BotBrain Educational Robot camps can be done any time as on weekend days or holidays. Teach an entire curriculum over 4 or 5 Saturdays, or Select which lessons you would like to teach and do just one day. You decide what it is that you would like to teach, and we will provide you with what you need to teach it. We can provide you with partially assembled robots to cut down on the construction time so you can get to the programming and competition aspects of robotics. Suggested Items for this camp (16 to 20 students): All BotBrain Equipment needed for a camp is available for lease. Contact us for details. |
